Santa's Snow Grotto
We're famous for it! Again this year we're presenting Santa's Magical Grotto out on the snow. Santa will be settling into his new home on the snow from the 8th November; he will then be here every weekend throughout November and everyday in December... Right up until the evening of Christmas Eve. After all, Santa is in for a very busy night that night....
Snow Fun Activities
All visits to Santa will be combined with some play time in the snow, which is bound to really get your children into the festive feel and they can thrill in their very own winter wonderland.
For those really little ones under the age of 4, you'll combine your Santa visit with a half hour trip to Mini Moose Land... Mini Moose Land is filled with plenty of snow, soft-play blocks and Mini Mooses very own house to have a peek in.
For those over the age of 4, our Snow Park Pass is the one for you. The Snow Park Pass includes 1 hour of unlimited fun on our Downhill Donuts, the Luge Slip 'n' Slide and Sledge 'o' Mania. Ride them all and pick your favourite!

Frequently Asked Questions
Santa's Snow Grotto - Frequently Asked Questions
Where is the experience situated?
Out on the real snow in the Snow Park. The North Pole really is here at Chill Factore where you will visit Santa in his amazing grotto.
Why is a visit to Santa at Chill Factoreso unique?
Ah that’s easy. It’s because all visits to Santa are combined with an activity out in the snow. Children under 4 can play in Mini Moose Land, where we have soft play toys, a mini sledging track and Mini Mooses house. If you’re children are aged 4+, you can enjoy the thrills of all our activities in the Snow Park - Sledge 'o' Mania, Downhill Donuts and the Luge Slip 'n' Slide.
So what shall I wear?
Don’t forget, it’s cold out on the snow so you’ll need warm clothing. You can choose to wear your own or hire our jackets and trousers for only £6 a set. Everyone going on to the snow for activities is automatically supplied with snow boots and a helmet.
So how does it all work?
Make sure you arrive in plenty of time as we will be very busy.
Head straight to the Santa’s Grotto Desk (rather than the Guest Services queue). Here we’ll print your tickets.
If you are booked for Mini Moose Land & Santa, you will be directed to the changing village if you need snow boots and warm clothing and then you will join the queue to see Santa. After seeing Santa you’ll go straight into Mini Moose Land to play in the snow.
If you’ve booked Snow Park & Santa, then on receipt of your tickets at the Santa Desk you’ll be directed to the Changing Village to pickup boots and helmets (and warm clothing if you’re hiring it). Once you’ve changed you’ll be able to go out on to the snow to enjoy all the fun activities at the time you’ve booked. After the fun on the snow you’ll come back in to join the queue to see Santa. Don’t worry, you can keep your warm clothing on as you’ll have to stroll back on to the snow to visit the big man in his grotto.
How long before my allotted time should I arrive?
Please arrive 45 minutes before the time you have booked so that you have plenty of time to pick up tickets and get changed before you head out for your snow activity.
How long will we have to queue?
The queue usually takes around 30 minutes and whilst we try to encourage Santa not to ‘ho ho ho’ for too long, he does like to chat to children and so the queue can, during peak periods, take a bit longer. Our elves are here to make the experience enjoyable and there’s usually something going on to amuse you whilst you wait. Guests who arrive on the day with no ticket may be subjected to longer wait times during busy periods if they are able to purchase a ticket.
How long will the visit with Santa last?
A visit to see Santa lasts a few minutes.
Will Santa give me a gift?
Of course, this is Santa. It’s what he does :)
What if I’ve not been good this year?
Ooh, we can all be cheeky sometimes but don’t worry… Santa always remembers the good things you’ve done.
Is the gift suitable for all ages?
How many children can see Santa at once?
Visits to Santa at Chill Factore are especially for you; just you and your family visit Santa together. If you would like to bring along a group just give us a call on 0843 596 22 33 and we will book you in. Depending on how many of your there are we may need to split you into smaller groups.
Must my child be accompanied?
Children must be accompanied by an adult. Tickets to Santa are for 1 adult and 1 child. Additional adult and additional child tickets are then available.
Will Santa be made aware of my child’s disabilities and act accordingly if necessary?
Yes, if you indicate when booking that a member of your party has special needs, we will contact you to get further details and make any necessary notes on your booking. On the day we can then notify the elves who will make the appropriate provisions.
Have all staff been CRB checked?
Will a photo be taken of my child’s visit?
Yes, one of Santa’s elves will take a picture of your visit inside Santa’s grotto which you can approve on a monitor. We aim to make sure you have a lovely photograph as a momento and offer a range of Christmas gifts to display your photos such as baubles, snow frames and snow globes. Please see Santa photos and gifts tab on the Christmas pages of the website.
Can I take my own photos?
No, we don’t permit the use of cameras or phones in the grotto.
Will the photos be stored or deleted?
Photos will be securely stored until Christmas Eve when the Grotto closes at which stage they will be deleted.
Is there somewhere we can head to for food and drink?
Yes, there’s a great choice. You can enjoy delicious pizzas and pasta overlooking the snow in the Mont Blanc restaurant, indulge in Nandos or pop into Wetherspoons. Then there’s Fredericks for dreamy ice-creams or enjoy a coffee and a bite to eat in either Costa or Café Extreme. Oh and don’t forget Chilli’s sports bar where you can have your drinks overlooking the main slope.
Where can I park?
There is a free car park outside Chill Factore.
Is there disabled access and parking?
Are there baby changing facilities available?
There are dedicated baby changing areas facilities.
Can I store my coat, bag or buggy?
