Your safety and enjoyment are our prime concern. We want to ensure that you have as much fun as possible in a safe environment.

Please note that Chill Factore will not accept any liability for damage caused to any equipment whilst using the freestyle features. Guests choosing to use the freestyle park will do so at their own risk. Helmets must be worn at all times whilst participating in this activity.

Making a booking

A fee of £1.99 now applies to all credit card payments made at Chill Factore and when booking over the telephone.  Telephone bookings are also subject to an additional booking fee of £2.99.

By making a booking at Chill Factore you have accepted our Terms and Conditions.

Advanced booking is recommended to avoid disappointment. Cancellation of private bookings must be provided with 48 hours notice.

Corporate, Schools & Party Booking conditions see below.

If cancellations are made outside of the 48 hours, refunds will be given. All refunds will be refunded in the denomination that they were paid for either at the Guest Services desk or over the telephone. All credit card payments must be refunded to the card that made the original booking.

Chill Factore reserves the right to refuse admission to a lesson if you are any more than 15 minutes late. Please note that no refunds or transfers will be allowed.

Check In

Please leave plenty of time for your journey to Chill Factore. We strongly recommend arriving at the reception desk at least 45 minutes prior to your start time to allow adequate time to collect your tickets and equipment. During busy periods and holidays, you will need to allow more time.
Please check all traffic reports before your journey to Chill Factore as we cannot be held responsible for late arrivals due to being delayed by traffic.

Clothing and Equipment

All prices include boots and ski/snowboard hire only. There is an option to hire premium skis and boards for an additional cost of £5. Please ask staff for further information.

Gloves, full-length trousers and long sleeved tops must be worn by everyone taking part in a snow activity.

Clothing- warm waterproof jackets and trousers can be hired from us for an additional fee of £3 per person if booked in advance, or £5 per person if requested on the day.

Gloves are compulsory and can be purchased from us for £3, as can hats (£3) and socks (£4), or a combined package for £8, but please note they are not for hire.

General

Please note that if a session time falls between the peak and off peak times, the price is calculated accordingly.

Junior rates are applicable to those under 18 years of age, to students on production of a valid NUS/Student card and over 65’s. Those aged 18 years and over will be charged at adult rates.  Chill Factore reserves the right to require proof of age.

An adult (18 or over) must accompany children under 10 years on the slope if skiing/snowboarding recreationally or in the snowplay area. 

If skiing or snowboarding on the main slope, you will be asked to sign a disclaimer form to state and confirm that you meet the minimum standards, which are; to control speed and direction; to perform linked turns; to stop and to use the button lift unassisted.

Please note, there is a £5 charge for any guest who loses their locker key. This is to cover the cost of a replacement key, barrel and wristband.

All guests need to keep tickets for their activities on them at all times. If a ticket is lost, please go to the Guest Services desk and a new one will be issued, providing you have your original booking number.

In the absence of negligence or fraudulent misrepresentation, neither Chill Factore nor its employees or agents shall be responsible for the death, personal injury or illness of any guest whilst on Chill Factore premises.

Neither Chill Factore nor its employees or agents shall be responsible for any loss, theft or damage to valuables or any personal property that belongs to any guest whilst on Chill Factore property.

Gift vouchers

Gift vouchers can only be redeemed for snow or climbing activities at Chill Factore, this includes clothing hire and essentials products like hats, gloves and socks.

Gift vouchers can be used as full or part payment towards a booking.

Gift vouchers can not be redeemed for online bookings.

Only one gift voucher can be used per booking.

Different gift vouchers cannot be combined into one amount.

Gift vouchers cannot be exchanged for cash.

Gift vouchers are non-refundable.

If you do not spend the entire balance on the gift voucher the remaining money owed will be given in voucher form to the lowest pound.

Gift vouchers are valid for 6 months from the purchase date. Any remaining balance will be cancelled on expiry of the validity period and cannot be extended or redeemed after this date. Please contact 0161 749 2222 to check the expiry date and the balance of your voucher.

Chill Factore treat gift vouchers as cash and therefore will not accept liability for lost or stolen vouchers.

Chill Factore reserves the right to amend the terms and conditions of the gift vouchers at any time and to take appropriate action, including the cancellation of the voucher if, at its discretion, if it deems such action necessary. This does not affect your legal rights.

Schools

No booking is confirmed without receipt of a completed booking form.

Full payment of all bookings to be received at least 2 weeks prior to the event and for any bookings made within this time payment must be made when booking.

Changes/amendments to bookings can be made at the discretion of Chill Factore up to 2 weeks prior to the event, thereafter the booking becomes non-transferable and non-refundable.

Cancellations made within 2 weeks of the event will be charged at full price.

Emailed booking forms will be treated as a contractual agreement and therefore you are accepting our terms and conditions.

Corporate events and functions

No booking is confirmed without receipt of a completed booking form and a 50% deposit.

Full payment of all bookings to be received at least 2 weeks prior to the event and for any bookings made within this time payment must be made when booking.

Changes/amendments to bookings can be made at the discretion of Chill Factore up to 2 weeks prior to the event and will require full payment, thereafter the booking becomes non-transferable and non-refundable.

Cancellations made within 2 weeks of the event will be charged at full price.

Children’s Parties

Parties are booked in groups of up to 8 spaces for the luge and 10 spaces for tubing, skiing, snowboarding and snowplay, regardless of the amount of children that are attending.

Adults can take part on the activity at the same time as the children, subject to availability.

There are a variety of minimum age limits on the different activities that are available. They are, the Luge – 8 years, Tubing – 4 years, skiing – 6 years, snowboarding – 8 years and snowplay – 2 years.

Snow boots, helmets, skis and snowboards are all included in the party price. Please be aware that clothing is not included in the price and if it is required, it can be hired at an extra cost of £5 per person on the day or £3 per person if pre-booked.

Parties will always finish on time. To maximise enjoyment, it is essential that everyone arrives at the snow activity and the Mont Blanc restaurant on time.

Membership

Please note that any form of membership is non transferable and non refundable and is valid for 12 months from the day of purchase. For corporate membership we require a minimum of 20 applicants from the organisation and for student membership, students must produce a valid NUS card in order to qualify.
Anyone working for the Armed Forces, Police, Fire and Ambulance Services will qualify for the corporate membership rate. 

Slope Policies

You must abide by the following Slope Code of Conduct carefully as it is important for everyone on the slope.

All recreational users must be able to meet the minimum standard for recreational slope use. These are; control speed and direction, linked turns, stop and to use the button lift unassisted.

Chill Factore reserves the right to ask you to leave the slope if you are deemed unable to meet the minimum standards. In such cases, no refund will be given.

If you cannot meet the minimum standard for untutored recreational slope use, you must have lessons (booked in advance), with a Chill Factore instructor, prior to using the slope. If in doubt, please inquire at the Guest Services desk. 

Please note, that you will be asked to sign a disclaimer form stating that you can ski/snowboard to this standard. If you are deemed by the Slope Patrol not to be of the required standard, you will be asked to leave the slope and no refund will be given. Their decision is final.

If you have an existing medical condition which you think may affect your safety on the slope and/or your ability to meet the minimum standard, please seek proper medical advice before visiting Chill Factore

When using the slope, please obey all signage.

Head Protection is available from the rental department at no extra charge and Chill Factore’s policy on head protection is as follows:

It is compulsory for any slope user doing jumps or involved in any type of racing, competition or freestyle to wear suitable head protection.
It is also compulsory for anyone using the luge or snowtubes to wear suitable head protection.
All children under the age of 18 are recommended to wear head protection.

Please note that all of our head protection is to CE standard and is regularly disinfected.  

Only Chill Factore instructors are permitted to teach on the slopes. Slope Patrol will be on duty at all times for your safety.

Chill Factore may section off parts of the slope at any time for events. No compensation/allowances will be made in these cases.

Jumps and rails will only be available for specific events, please check the website in advance to avoid disappointment.

Chill Factore reserves the right to change the slope policies from time to time. Please read and observe the policies displayed at Chill Factore before you go on the slopes as they may have changed since the last time you saw them.

Climbing Wall
 
For safety purposes the minimum participant age is 5, there is no upper age limit.

Equipment and helmets are included in all climbing session prices, apart from the all day self climb option.

Please be aware that different people climb at different speeds and the number of climbs per session depends upon individual aptitude and experience.  Therefore we cannot guarantee a specific number of climbs per climbing sessions.
 
You will not be aloud to take part in any climbing wall activity if you are:
• Wearing a dress or skirt
• Not wearing suitable footwear, trainers are recommended.
 
To qualify for the all day self climb you will need to be able to:
• Correctly put on a climbing harness
• Attach a rope to your harness using a suitable climbing knot
• Use a belay device to secure a falling climber and lower a climber from the wall.
 
You will also be required to supply your own equipment, this includes harness & belay device (grigri or ATC) for the all day self climb option.
 
On arrival you will be asked to fill out a registration form before being aloud to climb unsupervised. If you don’t fulfill the conditions of the registration then you won’t be aloud access to the climbing wall.


Slope Code of Conduct

1. Respect all other slope users.
2. Control your speed.
3. Always give way to skiers/riders below and
choose a route past as to not endanger or alarm them.
4. Leave plenty of space when overtaking.
5. Look up and down the slope before starting or entering the slope.
6. Always stop in a clear and visible place or, preferably, at the side of the slope.
When climbing up or down the slope, always keep to the side.
7. Respect all signage.
8. In the event of an accident everybody is duty bound to assist and witnesses must provide relevant information regarding any accident.
9. Chill Factore reserves the right to ask you to leave the slope if you are deemed, by a Chill Factore employee, not to be abiding by the Code of Conduct or meeting the minimum standard. In such cases, no refund will be given.

Refund and Cancellation Policy

48 hours notice is required to amend or cancel a booking. Outside of the 48 hours you are eligible for a full refund or can amend the booking to an alternative date free of charge. If your cancellation is made within the 48 hours of your session time no refund or transfer will be allowed.

Refunds or amendments can only be made by the card holder.

A refund can only be actioned by the original payment method. Card payments must be refunded to the same card. Cash payments can only be made at guest services in person, alternatively a cheque will be sent to you if the cancellation is made over the phone.

If you are late for a booking you may be refused admission and in such cases no refund or transfer will be allowed.
