Snowlife Awards

Snowlife Awards are available in both Skiing and Snowboarding for Schools Groups of all ages!

What are the UK Snowlife Awards?

The Snowlife Awards are a 9 level scheme so that skiers and snowboarders can record their achievement and have clear targets to aim for. On passing the award, your pupils can buy a badge and a certificate to highlight their acheivements becuase let's face it, it is definitely something to be proud of! Chill Factore can print these certificates with their own logo showing where you completed the award.

How do the awards work?

Each level is broken down into three parts with a simple description of what you are able to do when skiing or snowboarding, the sort of terrain you are expected to ride in and what you should aim for when you have completed the award

The assessor will watch you and see if you are able to ski/board at the right level for the award.

Do I need to start at level 1?

No, you can start at whichever level you wish. Your assessor will help you with this.

Who can assess me?

Any coach or instructor at Chill Factore all under the watchful eye of your teacher!

How much will it cost?

This great award is available for just £5 per pupil which not only entitles them to a Snowlife booklet which is signed and dated by a Chill Factore instructor, but also a pin badge to demonstrate what level they are at to wear with pride!

Skiing and Snowboarding can offer many distinct benefits to those taking part:

  • The acquisition of physical skill and knowledge
  • Personal and social development
  • Environmental awareness
  • The health of the individual

Snowsports are an ideal activity for any school group:

  • Skiing and Snowboarding are not difficult sports to learn and rely on technique rather than strength or fitness
  • The activities have an aesthetic quality enjoyed by those who perhaps do not take to other sporting activities offered through the day-to-day PE curriculum
  • Snowsport is an individual rather than team sport and has no intrinsic element of competition
  • Many pupils who have previously shown little or no enthusiasm in sports often discover unexpected aptitude and skill for snowsport
  • Snowsport is accessible to everyone, including those with disabilities
