In July, Chill Factore and the Subvert store presented Subjam – a special skiing/boarding for Cancer Freestyle Fundraiser Night.
It was a huge success with a load of fabulous prizes raffled off - boards, boots, bindings, watches and helmets…you name it!
Chill Factore and Subvert would like to thank everyone who came along and supported this special event. The official cheque handover was made last week – a total of £1,580 was raised!!
Lorraine Smith, co-owner of the Subvert Store said: “As owners of a snowboard shop, we wanted to raise money by involving snowboarding and we thought it would be a good idea to organise a freestyle night on the slope at Chill Factore, where instead of giving prizes out, we raised money by raffling the prizes off.
“Christie's were chosen as sadly my dad died from cancer but Christies was where my dad went for treatment. It was one of the places he didn't mind going to. The staff were always friendly and he and my mum used to look forward to the big breakfast fry up before they left!!”
