Travel Information
Please allow adequate travelling time to get to Chill Factore for snow activities during the winter months. At certain times of the day surrounding roads and motorway exits may become congested. Please arrive a minimum of ONE HOUR before your activity is due to start to allow enough time to collect your tickets, equipment and get changed.
For directions to Chill Factore, please click here.
Tickets
If you have pre-booked your tickets be sure to head straight to the signposted Self Service ticket machines with your booking reference number so you don’t waste any time hitting the snow!
Alternatively, you can go to the Guest Services desk and quote your booking reference number where your tickets will be printed off, before making your way to the Changing Village.
If you’re buying tickets on the day, or wish to make a future booking, please go to the Guest Services Desk and they will be happy to assist you.
Please note that your ticket will not allow you through onto the slopes until your stated activity time.
Pricing
We recommend pre-booking all activities to secure your required date and time for your exhilarating experience.
Our package price includes the hire of boots, skis/snowboard & ski poles.
Clothing can be hired for an additional cost.
Changing Village
We have ample lockers in our Changing Village for you to safely store your belongings whilst having fun on our indoor slope. Make sure you have a £1 coin with you to operate the lockers. This is of course returned when you unlock the locker.
And if you’d like to store your skis or boards on our racks whilst you recharge your batteries or enjoy our wonderful Alpine Street, you’ll need another £1 coin.
Toilets are located both in the Changing Village and just inside the air lock located opposite the ski poles.
If you are learning new skills with a lesson, please refer to our television screens in the Changing Village, just by the slope entrance. These screens tell you who your instructor will be (with a nice photograph of them!), who is in your lesson with you (names appear on a list) and where you should wait to meet your instructor!
Equipment
If you are using Chill Factore equipment, such as skis and snowboards, please make your way into the changing village where our Snow Crew team will assist you.
Skiers need to head to the clever Z master machines located by the ski rental desks. Take off your shoes and stand on the machine and follow the instructions provided. The clever machine will calculate what size boots and skis you need and print you off a receipt. Take your receipt to a member of the Snow Crew team who will be able to kit you out ready for some serious fun on our snow slopes!
As Chill Factore is such a popular attraction, it can get quite busy, especially during peak times, so please allow enough time to collect your equipment and get kitted up. We recommend arriving at least ONE HOUR before your start time to make sure you don’t miss a moment of fun.
After your session on the slopes, please return all skis, boards, boots and helmets to the return point located near to the slope exit.
All poles should be returned in the pole rack inside the air lock.
We have equipment and clothing hire for all shapes and sizes, however, if you’re concerned that we might not stock your size please check out our sizing chart.
Clothing
It’s called Chill Factore for a reason, so expect it to be cold - although it soon warms up when you’re active! If you decide to bring your own clothing you’ll need to wear:
- Warm Clothing
- Thick socks
- Gloves (compulsory)

Additional Information for groups, schools, parties and corporates
Each member of your group should be made aware, in advance, of exactly what activity they are participating in. This will prevent any delays and will make the day run more smoothly.
Please arrange for your group to arrive at least ONE HOUR before your start time. This should allow enough time to collect your tickets and sort out your equipment.
Arrange to meet as a whole group at a designated meeting point within Chill Factore, we recommend meeting as a group in the Alpine Street. The organiser of the group should then collect ALL tickets from the Guest Services desk and check that these tickets match the activities booked.
Tickets should be distributed to your group, as each member will need a ticket to pass through the turnstiles.
As a group, make your way through to the Changing Village. If you are having multiple lessons or activities people should stay together in the appropriate group.
Group changing facilities are available if you wish to book these in advance. Please email or call your Chill Factore group coordinator for further information.
Arrange a place for your group to meet when you have finished your snow activities.
