Ski Academy - Junior
Kids are always looking for exciting new hobbies and what could be cooler than learning to ski?
Chill Factore offers an uber cool Junior Ski Academy for children aged 6-12 years, which provides skiing tuition with friendly and experienced instructors. Please note, children below the age of 6 will be asked to join the Infant Academy for Health and Safety reasons.
Our academy runs at the weekends and are available to all children - from complete beginners through to those at championship level.
It’s a great way for kids to learn new and exciting skills and of course, have something cool to talk to their mates about on Monday mornings. Our academy is also a great activity for half term and school holidays, keeping the kids learning whilst having fun.
Our aim is to make skiing fun, accessible to all children and to develop young talent where possible.
It’s not too dissimilar to learning to swim, whereby children will learn in Levels (1-6), and will be split into groups, based on their ability.
The most cost effective way to progress through our levels structure is by purchasing a course, which lasts for the three weeks. However, if your child leads an action packed life and needs more flexibility you can purchase levels individually. Once each level is successfully completed kids can continue onto the next level and before you know it you’re cheering them on at the Olympics! Well you could be…
Children attending the Ski Academy will receive a progress card at the end of each course so can see how far they’ve come. Once each level is completed each child will be presented with a lovely certificate to mark their achievement.
Junior Ski Academy Beginner Course
Levels 1, 2 & 3
Entry level requirement: Complete beginner or taster lesson standard.
Level 1 Content: Introduction to equipment, Flat land exercise & basic balance and snow plough gliding.
Level 2 Content: Snow plough speed control and turning
Level 3 Content: Linked snow plough turns, button lift and main slope introduction

Main Slope
Once you have completed the Junior Ski Acdemy you will be ready to take on the main slope with confidence.
At 180 metres long, Chill Factore boasts the UK’s longest indoor real snow slope. That’s 180 metres of pure fun where you get to practice your new skills again and again!
Enjoy exhilarating experiences from regular skiing to the more thrilling activities like Race Club where you can take your skiing to the next level or train to become a competitive racer.
Chill Factore is also home to the renowned Core Freestyle nights, where skiers kick it the way they want without restriction. The fun literally never ends!
