Ski Lesson Guide
Not sure what you’re looking for?
There’s so much on offer here at Chill Factore, you really are spoilt for choice.
If you’re new to skiing a Taster Lesson is the perfect starting point to get a feel for the snow. Our friendly, fully qualified instructors will help you find your snow legs before you move on to lessons and, of course, the main slope.
Ski Taster Lessons are ideal for individuals and groups who have never skied before and we have a range of clothes and equipment available for hire.
After a taste of the slope, we’re sure you’ll get the snow bug and want to learn new skills – trust us it’s addictive! After your introduction to the basic skills you can develop your talent on our Beginner Lessons, by the end of which you should be able to progress on to an Improver Lesson on the main slope.
Check out our You Tube channel for a quick guide to Safety on the slope.
Ski Beginner Lessons
Chill Factore’s Ski Beginner Lessons are perfect for getting to grips with the slope. With a range of clothing and equipment available for hire, our fully qualified instructors will help you build a solid foundation of fundamental skiing skills, such as getting a feel for your skis, learning to snowplough and link those turns.
We offer a variety of Ski Beginner Lessons, that are designed to fit around you and your schedule, so you can learn to ski at a time that suits you.
If, after your Beginner Lessons, you still feel you need a little more practice on your skis we offer a fantastic Guided Practice Session where you can really build up your confidence. One of our friendly, fully qualified instructors will guide you on the beginner slope and help you progress confidently to the main slope.
And for those unfamiliar, or just not that confident, with the ‘Button lift’, we’ll show you how it’s done as part of your session.
Ski Improver and Development Lessons
The main slope at Chill Factore is a challenging 15 degrees, which is equivalent to a difficult blue run or an easy red run in the Alps. To ski on the main slope all users must meet the 'Minimum Main Slope Standard’, meaning you must be able to control your speed and direction, link your turns, stop and use the button lift unassisted. If you cannot meet ALL of these requirements, we’re afraid you cannot use our slope just yet but the good news is our Improver Lessons are specifically designed with this in mind. Improver Lessons build on the basic techniques and develop your confidence enabling you to make the most of the exciting main slope terrain. We will have you on your way in no time!
For those of you already confident on the main slope our Parallel Development sessions are ideal to help develop your technique and style.
And if seasoned skiers have the desire to ski faster, harder and carve up the hill then Carving Development is just the answer. You can also learn what it takes to become a qualified instructor on our Pre-Instructor Training Course.
Kids Snowsports Academy
Chill Factore also provides special ski & snowboard tuition for children aged 4-16 years in the Kids Snowsports Academy. The Infant Academy is for your little ski buddies aged 4-6 and Junior Academies for skiers and snowboarders aged 7-16.
Ski Private Lessons
If you want to maximise your time on the snow we can tailor a one-to-one Private Ski Lesson to your specific needs with one of our dedicated instructors.
We have everything you need to get you piste-perfect!
