There’s so much on offer here at Chill Factor^e, you really are spoilt for choice.

If you’ve always fancied learning to snowboard then you’ll love our awesome 50 minute Snowboard Fun Taster, which is the perfect starting point to get a feel for the snow and a snowboard. Our friendly, fully qualified instructors will help you find your snow legs before you move on to lessons and, of course, the main slope.

Snowboard Fun Tasters are ideal for individuals and groups who have never snowboarded before and we have a range of clothes and equipment available for hire.. 

After a taste of the slope, we’re sure you’ll get the snow bug and want to learn new skills – trust us it’s addictive! After your introduction to the basic skills you can develop your talent on our Beginner Lessons, by the end of which you should be able to progress to the main slope with Improver and Development Lessons.

Snowboard Beginner Lessons

Chill Factor^e’s Snowboard Beginner Lessons are perfect for getting to grips with the slope. With a range of clothing and equipment available for hire, our fully qualified instructors will help you build a solid foundation of fundamental snowboarding skills, such as getting a feel for your board, learning to steer your way down the slope and also link your turns.  

We offer a variety of Snowboard Beginner Lessons that are designed to fit around you and your schedule, so you can learn to snowboard at a time that suits you.

If, after your Beginner Course, you still feel you need a little more practice on your board we offer a fantastic Guided Practice Session where you can really build your confidence. One of our friendly, fully qualified instructors will guide you on the beginner slope and help you progress confidently to the main slope.

And for those unfamiliar, or just not that confident, with the ‘button lift’, we’ll show you how it’s done as part of your session.

Snowboard Improver and Development Lessons

The main slope at Chill Factor^e is a challenging 15 degrees, which is equivalent to a difficult blue run or an easy red run in the Alps.  To Snowboard on the main slope all users must meet the 'Minimum Main Slope Standard’, meaning you must be able to control your speed and direction, link your turns, stop and use the button lift unassisted. If you cannot meet ALL of these requirements, we’re afraid you cannot use our slope just yet but the good news is our Improver Lessons are specifically designed with this in mind. Improver Lessons build on the basic techniques and develop your confidence enabling you to make the most of the exciting main slope terrain.  We will have you on your way in no time!

For those of you already tackling the main slope our Rider Development sessions are ideal to build confidence and make you more comfortable when you ride.  Rider Development sessions are just the ticket if you want to ride faster, harder and start carving up the slope.

If you’re interested in developing your style and impressing your mates you should try one of our excellent freestyle coaching sessions.  We have Freestyle Lessons for out and out freestyle beginners and Freestyle Coaching for developing the more technical tricks.

For the ultimate in advanced slope action, push the limits of your personal performance with our Snowboard Pre-Instructor Training programme and learn first hand what it takes to become a qualified snowboard instructor.

Kids Snowsports Academy

Chill Factor^e also provides ski & snowboard tuition for children aged 8-16 years in the Kids Snowsports Academy. The Infant Academy is for your little ski buddies aged 4-6 and Junior Academies for skiers and snowboarders aged 7-16.
