The Snow Park and Mini Moose Land area will be transformed into Santa's Grotto, with Santa making his home away from home on our snow.

Why is a visit to Santa at Chill Factore so unique?

Why is a visit to Santa at Chill Factore so unique? Show

Ah, well that’s easy. It’s because Chill Factore has the only Santa’s grotto in the UK on real snow so you can enjoy the Lapland experience right here in Manchester! Plus, all visits to see Santa are combined with an activity out in the snow. Children aged 3 and under can play in Mini Moose Land, where we have snow tunnels, wobbly snow men and snow women, and a mini Downhill Donuts track. For children aged 4 and above, they can enjoy the thrills and spills of our brand new Snow Park with our snow and ice slides, sledging and Downhill Donuts. So, not only will you enjoy a magical visit to see Santa on real snow, but you’ll enjoy play time in the snow with your family too.

What should we all wear?

What should we all wear? Show

Don’t forget, it’s cold out on the snow (-3 degrees in fact) so you’ll need warm clothing. You can choose to wear your own or hire our jackets and trousers for only £8 a set. For footwear you can wear your own as long as they are waterproof and above the ankle (E.g clean wellies, walking boots). You can also hire snow play boots from the clothing desk. Gloves are mandatory, if you do not have a any gloves, you can purchase these from Chill Factore.

Everyone going on to the snow for activities is automatically supplied with a helmet, but you can also bring your own.

Head straight to the Santa’s Grotto Desk (to the right of the Guest Services queue). Here we’ll print your tickets.

After your visit to see Santa, one of Santa’s Helpers will show you into the Changing Village so that you can get changed and briefed ready to go out onto Snow Park (Children aged 4 and above) or Mini Moose Land (Children aged 3 and under).

How long will we have to queue?

How long will we have to queue? Show

The queue usually takes around 30 minutes and whilst we try to encourage Santa not to ‘ho ho ho’ for too long, he does like to chat to children and so the queue can, during peak periods, take a bit longer.

However, Santa's Helpers are here to make the experience enjoyable and they’ve got plenty of things going on whilst you wait. Guests who arrive on the day with no ticket should expect longer wait times during busy periods if they are able to purchase a ticket.

How long will the visit with Santa last?

You’ll be entertained by Santa’s Helpers whilst you’re queuing to see Santa and there will be lots of things for you and your family to do. Once inside the grotto, your visit will last a few minutes – long enough for a chat with Santa and for him to give the kids a gift and for us to take your photo. You’ll then head out onto the snow for your hour long snow activity.
