Ski Lessons

Learn something new on a family day out in Manchester with private ski lessons. They’re perfect for families or groups of friends who want to experience skiing together. We provide private lessons on our beginner slope for guests that are new to skiing and lessons on our main slope for guests that can meet our main slope standards (link turns, control speed and stop safely and use a button lift without assistance).

The Lodge Bar & Kitchen

The Lodge Bar & Kitchen is a relaxing alpine Lodge located on the first floor of Chill Factore. It offers panoramic views over the main slope, so you can watch the action unfold.

Head to The Lodge to warm up and refuel after a fun family day out on the snow, or watch friends and family on the slopes whilst you stay cosy with a coffee or a bite to eat.

Things you need to know

What should I do before my visit?

Once you’ve planned your family day out, check out our directions to Chill Factore.

Please allow enough time before your booking to collect your tickets. You’ll need your booking reference to hand in for this (which you’ll find in your booking confirmation email). You can either collect your tickets from the Guest Services desk or from the Self Service ticket machines situated near the Guest Reception.

If you’re bringing your own equipment, please arrive 10 minutes before your activity. If you’ll be hiring equipment from us, please arrive 45 minutes before your activity.

Is there somewhere to keep my belongings?

Yes! Guests can leave their belongings in one of our lockers. Lockers require a £1 coin (returnable) or a trolley token.

What should I wear?

As you can imagine, it’s cold out on our slopes! You’ll soon warm up if you’re getting active on the snow, though. Guests taking part in snow activities should wear a waterproof jacket and trousers. You’ll also need thick socks and gloves are compulsory.

Please bring snow boots, wellies, or walking boots for activities in the snow. You can hire these if you don’t have anything suitable. Luckily, we have detailed information on What to Wear at Chill Factore.

If you have your own helmet or equipment, such as skis or snowboards, you’re welcome to bring them. You can also hire these when you arrive. Simply book clothing equipment beforehand.
