Our sessions will assist GCSE P.E. students to meet the criteria set by the exam boards for Skiing or Snowboarding. Our instructors will be on hand to observe and provide feedback in line with the specification outlined on AQA, OCR and Edexcel.

GCSE Basic (2hr) – Complete technical elements for either Ski or Snowboard

GCSE Competitive (Limited Availability)– Gain access to our slalom course, complete timed runs and show your technical and tactical ability. Exclusive access to the Slalom course for GCSE students only

 

 


GCSE Basic Sessions

GCSE Basic Sessions Show

These sessions are for students to gain practical evidence for the technical element of their GCSE PE for ski or snowboard discipline. Our instructors will be on hand to take you through the requirements such as side steps, short turns and long turns.

After the session you will receive, a feedback sheet to help your teacher form a mark for the exam board.

The sessions will be held on Monday evenings on selective dates. (Ski) 9th October 2019, (Ski) 6th November 2019, (Snowboard) 13th November 2019 and (Ski) 20th November 2019.

Session times:

6.00pm-8.00pm 

There will be a maximum of 10 students per 2 hour session.

Responsibility for filming will reside with the student/teacher who is taking part/observing. The balcony situated over the main slope or the base of the slope provide teachers with a good vantage point for filming.

 

GCSE Competitive Sessions

GCSE Competitive Sessions Show

Our sessions will assist GCSE P.E. students to meet the criteria set by the exam boards for Skiing or Snowboarding. On the main slope there will be two slalom courses with 10 students per slalom. Our expert instructors will be on hand to set the course, time the runs and provide any feedback which may help teachers mark the students progress. 

The sessions will be held on Wednesday evenings on selective dates. 9th September 2019, 16th September 2019 and 23rd September 2019.

Session times:

6.30pm-7.30pm – SNOWBOARD ACCESS ONLY
7.30pm-8.30pm
8.30pm-9.30pm

There will be a maximum of 20 students per 1 hour session. Snowboard students will only be able to book the earlier session due to snow movement increasing difficulty in later sessions.
