Why you’re here:

The Accounts Assistant is responsible for delivering processing tasks within the Finance Team. The Accounts Assistant will be responsible for accurately updating both the purchase and sales ledgers, ensuring credit control by leading on debtor’s analysis and collection process and reconciliation of income to booking system and bank. The Accounts Assistant will also assist the Management Accountant and Financial Controller where necessary.

 To be successful, you will need to have the following skills, knowledge and experience: -

  • Good level of competence in Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Good keyboard skills
  • Good communication and listening skills
  • Good organisational skills used in planning own work
  • Calm and professional disposition
  • Self-motivated and enthusiastic
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet targets and deadlines
  • Able to work in a busy office environment that often demands high levels of concentration
  • Able to respond effectively to changing priorities
  • Able to manage high volume workload
  • Able to work effectively with minimal management guidance/supervision
  • Willingness to accept responsibility
  • Good analytical and problem-solving ability

Desirable Skills:

  • Basic understanding of accounting processes and procedures / Studying towards an accountancy qualification.
  • Experience of accounting software
