Why you’re here: The Chief Instructor is here to amplify guest satisfaction of Taster Lessons and to actively drive repeat guest bookings into Beginner Lesson experiences. The Chief Instructor’s direct impact will be that more and more Taster guests will want to rebook the next lesson immediately.

The post holder works directly with the Snowsports Instructor Team, driving incremental and measurable improvement of guest excellence standards, team engagement, technical & teaching standards and professional performance. Setting the expectations and quality standards required of all instructors through recruitment, induction, training, monitoring and coaching and ongoing professional development.

The Chief Instructor tirelessly and positively reinforces great behaviours and quickly and appropriately addressing underperformance to ensure all Guest Excellence Standards are consistently achieved and all Operating Procedures and H&S policies are consistently observed.

To be successful you will need to have the following skills, knowledge and experience:-


  • Minimum of 2yrs Snowsports Teaching experience
  • Minimum of 2yrs Experience in the UK Snowsports Market
  • Minimum of 2yrs Snowsports Managerial experience
  • Minimum of 2yrs Instructor Training experience 
  • Experience in writing, developing and implementing new course syllabus
  • Experience in project management, from concept to implementation


Skills, Knowledge and Relevant Qualifications

  • Hold a BASI qualification in Alpine and Snowboard.
  • Excellent Leadership skills – The competence, dynamism, authenticity and gravitas required to affect the required changes in the team.
  • Excellent Snowsports teaching skills.
  • Excellent Communication skills.
  • Excellent staff/instructor Training skills.
  • Excellent guest retention rates.
  • Excellent Guest Service skills.
  • Inspirer/depth of passion for the guest and business.
  • Excellent business awareness.

Please note: Chill Factore is a popular leisure destination and operates 364 days a year. Chief Instructor should be available to work week days and weekends, including public holidays.
