Job Title: Shift Manager

Responsibilities including:  Delivering outstanding guest service in our popular ‘The Lodge Bar & Kitchen’ – serving food and beverage (coffee, alcohol etc.) and meeting all guests needs.

Responsible to:  The Lodge Bar & Kitchen – General Manager

Contract Type:  Permanent Part-Time, Variable hours and Permanent Full-time.

The Role:

The Lodge Bar & Kitchen – Shift Manager is an exciting new role and one that the ideal candidate can really make their own.

  • Lead our front of house team on shift, ensuring we exceed our guest expectations (NPS & Mystery Shop)
  • Deliver our operational standards and adhere to all Health & Safety requirements and legislation.
  • Completion of daily, weekly & monthly procedures and standards.
  • Ensuring guests are welcomed cheerfully and that any queries are answered accurately.
  • Upholding an excellent standard of food and drinks service, assisting with ordering where necessary.
  • Encouraging upselling of products where possible.
  • Assist the training & development of the front of house team.
  • Distributing responsibilities on shift.
  • Ensure the standard of the front of house area is of an excellent level and reporting any maintenance issues.

 Requirements:

  • Preferably experience of management in a front of house environment.
  • Experience in a busy front of house role with responsibility.
  • Managing staff on shift, including development, disputes, and absence management.
  • Ability to effectively distribute responsibilities.
  • Excellent experience in customer facing roles.
