Job Title: General Manager

The Venue:

Chill Factorᵉ is packed with fun things to do for the whole family. We are home to the longest real snow slope in the UK. And what says fun more than real snow – and lots of it?

The Lodge Bar & Kitchen is a relaxing Alpine lodge located at the Chill Factore and has just had a £0.75m makeover:

Giving you a bird’s eye view of our Lesson Slope, our Snow Park, as well as our 180m Main Slope. The Lodge Bar & Kitchen offers the perfect place to sit back and relax, whether it’s watching the kids taking their first steps on the snow or whiling away the time watching some freestyle skills in action on a Thursday or Friday night.

The Lodge General Manager role within this venue is an exciting new role and one that the ideal candidate can really make their own.  So, if you are passionate about hospitality, have strong managerial experience and are looking for exciting new opportunities, we want to hear from you!

The Role

  • Oversee day-to-day operations, to deliver a great experience for our guests
  • Maintain high brand standards & consistency
  • Retain and progress team members
  • Adhere to all Health & Safety requirements
  • Contribute to and influence the strategy and performance of the business.
  • Review and respond to guest feedback and continual review of the guest journey
  • Development and support of team
  • Ensure Tevalis system is up to date with all correct product information for accurate Reporting including Invoices and credit notes
  • Assist with production of P&L, budgeting, and forecasting, till variances, vouchers, tabs, accounts, and vending
  • Accurate Stocktakes and line checks with GP % in line with budgets
  • Produce rotas, including approval and coordination of absence requests.
  • One TL shift at weekends, plus additional support as required
  • Development of Operation manuals and procedures
  • Ensure maintenance of all equipment
  • Ensure adherence to all legal and licensing regulations, weekly management meetings
  • Assist with development of promotions plan menus and other promotional materials

KPI’s:

  • % In line with budgets:
  • Wet Stock, Coffee Stock, Payroll
  • Power Bi Reporting across Trip Advisor & guest surveys. NPS overall
  • Induction Records
  • Team Leader development

Requirements

  • Proven team management experience with a breadth of exposure working in high-volume bars and restaurants
  • An ambitious problem solver that can deliver a genuine and consistent high level of service by anticipating and exceeding customer expectations
  • A passion for food, drink, and people
  • Knowledge of performance management, disciplinary and grievance processes
  • Effective communicator that can deliver tangible results
  • Ability to multi-task and complete a variety of front of house duties
  • Proven success in commercial decision making to drive growth
  • Coaching and supporting a large and diverse team
  • Deliver against agreed KPIs for The Lodge.
