English Ski and Boarder Cross Championships 2015
An exciting day of fierce competition
What an eventful day it was on Saturday 27th June... the exciting English Ski and Boarder Cross Champs took place here at Chill Factore.
The competition was strong with over 60 competitors, including athletes who have competed at Europa Cup Junior World Championships and World Cup level events.
Taking the Under 16 English Ski Cross title was Tom Rascagneres and coming in second was Cameron McGregor-Ogden, which was an incredible feat considering that he has recently overcome his battle with Leukaemia. Cameron's sister Holly McGregor-Ogden, who had donated bone barrow to her brother, also had a fantastic result and took away the bronze medal!
The men's ski competition was won overall by Richard Goldsworthy with former Chill Factore Sponsored Athletes Emma Peters and Thea Fenwick finishing first and second in the ladies final.
In the snowboard competition Manchester local Bradley Gaulter won the under 20's title, with Chill Factore Sponsored Athlete Nate Hopkinson coming second in the under 14 category.
In the women's snowboarding event Chill Factore Sponsored Athlete Mia Brookes won the bronze medal overall.
With all that excitement, we cant wait for the British Ski and Boarder Cross event coming up at the end of August.
