GCSE Assessment Sessions
Skiing and Snowboarding Assessment Session
Our Skiing and Snowboarding assessment sessions will assist GCSE P.E. students to meet the criteria set by the exam boards for Skiing or Snowboarding.
We offer 2 types of GCSE session:
- GCSE Competitive (1 Hour 30 Minutes) £55pp
A Group session specifically designed to complete the Slalom element of the GCSE assessment with up to 15 spaces per session (45 spaces total on each evening) - GCSE Skills Private Lesson £79
A Main Slope 1:2:1 session focusing on SKILLS of a chosen discipline. Session lasts for 1 Hour with 50 minutes on snow and a 10 minute debrief

GCSE Competitive (1 Hour 30 Minutes) - £55
This session will focus on the competitive slalom element of GCSE PE criteria.
The session will include exclusive access to the Main Slope, with Chill Factore instructors on hand to support, assist, and time slalom runs.
It is highly recommended that pupils find time to practice on the run up to the GCSE night for this reason. If pupils need experience or practice in a slalom course prior to the assessment evening then please come along to Race Skills on a Tuesday night.
Each attendee will take part in warm-up session, followed by course inspection, practice run and Timed run.
Parents, guardians, and/or teachers are solely responsibility for capturing the video evidence needed for each individual student, Chill Factore instructors will not be conducting any filming. The best place to do this is from the main slope balcony. At the end of the session, parents need to collect the students times & session marks from instructor/session co-ordinator at Guest Reception. Students can then return to school with the evidence & information which will assist their teachers in forming a mark.

GCSE Skills Private Lesson - from £79
This session will focus on the skills and technical element of your chosen discipline; Ski or Snowboard.
For these 1:2:1 session, the student must provide their GCSE PE criteria (AQA, Edexcel or OCR), our Chill Factore Instructor will then take you through the required skills. Those parents, guardians or teachers accompanying the student, who can ski/snowboard to main slope standard are welcome to shadow/observe the lesson to conduct the required filming at no addition cost. The instructor can be utilised to conduct the filming for the student, but the parent, guardian or teacher must provide the camera/phone and they are not responsible for any lost or damage to the device.
Upon completion of the session our instructor will provide a score sheet of the technical elements which the student can then return to school coupled with the video evidence which will assist their teachers in forming a mark.
Parents, guardians, or Teachers can capture video evidence from the Main Slope balcony.

Things to note:
- Evidence needs to be filmed by guests from the Main Slope balcony. They MUST bring their own device.
- Slalom is an essential part of GCSE PE criteria and will only be available during the COMPETITIVE sessions.
