Chill Factore is dedicated to providing a high level of service to all our guests. We aim to treat each guest as an individual and work with them to meet their specific requirements.

Chill Factore is home to Disability Snowsport UK, a nationwide registered charity providing adaptive skiing for individuals with any disability, including physical, sensory and learning disabilities. By using adaptive equipment and specialist instruction and support we are able to cater for even those with very limited mobility.

How to find us

Directions by car

Chill Factore is situated on Trafford Quays Leisure Village and is less than four miles from Manchester city centre. We are opposite The Trafford Centre and conveniently located just off the M60 motorway at junction 10. Chill Factore is signposted from the motorway exit but thanks to our fabulously iconic building you won’t miss us! We offer free parking and have over 300 car parking spaces available including 16 dedicated disabled parking bays.

Directions by bus

The nearest bus stop is at the Trafford Centre bus station, which is opposite Chill Factore.
On arrival head towards the Trafford Quays Leisure Village and then follow the signs to Chill Factore, you will be with us in a matter of minutes.

Key bus routes

ML1: The Trafford Centre Metrolink Shuttle Bus

The Trafford Centre Metrolink Shuttle Bus is a direct, express service to Manchester’s Metrolink Tram service. The shuttle bus links The Trafford Centre to Stretford Metrolink Station and runs 7 days a week, 363 days a year, with services every 20 minutes, from early until late. One ticket will enable you to travel direct to The Trafford Centre from anywhere on the Metrolink network. Just look for the ‘Trafford Centre Shuttle Bus’ button on any Metrolink ticket machine. Chill Factore is then just a 5 minute walk away from the Trafford Centre Bus Station.

Bus route 250

The 250 service, operated by Stagecoach Manchester, is a high frequency bus link direct to Manchester City Centre via Old Trafford. The service runs from early until late, 364 days a year, every 10-15 minutes, and is provided using modern, low-floor, easy access buses.

Other bus routes

Buses run regularly from all over the Greater Manchester area to the Trafford Centre's on-site Bus Station. Full details of all bus services running to and from the Trafford Centre can be found here.

Directions by taxi

Just ask for Chill Factore opposite the Trafford Centre! We’re very confident that anyone of the fantastic taxi driver’s in the North West will deliver you straight to our door. For piece of mind the journey from Manchester City Centre to Chill Factore should takes around 15-20 minutes and costs approximately £12-15 in a taxi.

Directions by train

There are regular main-line trains into Manchester Piccadilly station, which is in the centre of Manchester. From there you can access a connecting Metrolink tram to Stretford station. You then need to board the Metrolink Shuttle Bus which travels directly to The Trafford Centre, which is opposite Chill Factore and is just a 5 minute walk away.

Alternatively you can take a taxi from Manchester Piccadilly train station, which takes 15-20 minutes and costs approximately £15.

There are also regular train services to local stations at Urmston and Salford Crescent, both of which have regular onward bus connections to The Trafford Centre bus station.

Directions by foot or cycle

Chill Factore is easily accessible on foot or by cycle from the surrounding residential areas of Urmston, Davyhulme, Flixton and Eccles. We have onsite secure bicycle and motorcycle storage, just remember to bring your cycle lock with you.

Directions by air

The nearest airports to Chill Factore are Manchester Airport (20 minutes away) and Liverpool John Lennon Airport (40 minutes away).

Directions from Manchester Airport

If using public transport, the most direct route is on the number 18 bus service, which runs every 30 minutes direct from Manchester Airport to The Trafford Centre, which is opposite Chill Factore. Alternatively there are regular buses, trains and Metrolink services into Manchester city centre, with regular connections to The Trafford Centre from there.

If driving from Manchester airport, you should join the M56 motorway, then the M60 (westbound) motorway, exiting at junction 10 for Chill Factore.

Directions from Liverpool John Lennon Airport

If driving from Liverpool John Lennon Airport join the A5300, then take the M62 (eastbound) to the M60 motorway. Follow the M60 (westbound), exiting at junction 10.

Arrival and Car Park

Entrance to the main car park is off Trafford Way. There are speed bumps and dedicated crossing points in the car park.
The main car park has 16 widened spaces designated accessible parking spaces (3.38m wide with rear access to parked vehicles).
Surface is asphalt and the car park is well lit with clear signage.
In addition to the main car park there is an overflow car park situated at the rear of the building together with a dedicated coach park. There is an accessible coach drop off point on the main road opposite the Chill Factore entrance.
It is approx 10m-20m from the accessible parking spaces to the main entrance. Path leading to the main entrance is approx. 8m wide and made from leveled concrete.
There is free on-site car parking available for all guests.
Queues are likely during our peak times (winter season November-February, school holidays or special event days). Please contact us in advance if you are unable to queue for long periods.

Main Entrance and Reception

The main entrance has two wide automatic doors.

Once inside, the Guest Services desk is straight ahead at the bottom of Alpine Street approx 50m away, there are various cafés at the entrance and also down the Apline Street. Alpine Street is cobbled in the centre with paving down either side for easy access. Toilets are located in cafés, restaurants and within the Changing Village on the ground floor. There’s also toilets upstairs in the restaurant, bars and conference locations.

At the Guest Services desk there is a low level counter. Paper and pens can be available on request.

A wheelchair is available on loan to visitors free of charge (subject to availability).

Seating is available in café and restaurant areas.

Clear price signage is on display in Alpine Street. All information signage is at a minimum of 24 font size.

Public areas

The majority of the attraction is accessed at ground floor level. There is an additional restaurant and bar and conference facilities on the first floor which is accessible either by lifts or stairs.

Staff are on hand to offer assistance where required and are dressed in the Chill Factore uniform which has our logo on. They also have I.D. name badges.

All indoor public areas are no smoking and no vaping. There are ash bins provided outside.

Signage around the attraction is clear with contrast.

There is a variety of floorings in the centre including carpet and non-slip flooring.

Public Areas (W.C)

There are 9 toilet locations in the centre; 5 located on the ground floor level (in the changing village, Costa café, Nando’s, and Wetherspoons) and 2 located on the first floor (behind Mont Blanc restaurant and 2 in the Conference area behind Chilli’s bar).
Each toilet block has a disabled-access toilet and baby changing facilities are available in first floor toilets. The manual doors open outwards and have easy to operate locks.
Each has a toilet, sink, hand dryer or towels, sanitary bins. Flooring is non slip.

Restaurants, Bars & Cafés

Staff are available to offer assistance where required.

The café has a counter service (table service can be offered where needed) selection of sandwiches and soup, snacks and cakes, hot and cold drinks, confectionary.

Some items for sale may be out of reach; the staff offer assistance.

We are able to cater for special dietary requirements.

The till display is visible.

Chairs are available without armrests.

A picnic area with 4 wooden picnic benches is located outside near Wetherspoons.

Conference/Meeting Rooms and Banqueting

The conference facilities are located on the first floor and are accessible by lift or stairs. Rooms can accommodate from 2-100 people. There are rectangle style tables (4ft and 6ft) or 6ft diameter round style tables. Both tables and chairs are movable.

The lighting in the conference suites is adjustable. Staff are able to offer assistance as required.


For access to the first floor there 1 main public lift, 1 escalator and 1 set of stairs (32 steps). These are all located next to the Guest Services desk in the Alpine Street. 

The lifts have audio, tactile buttons, automatic doors and emergency alarms.

There are TV’s displaying health and safety information with clear images and subtitles used.


Chill Factore is an indoor attraction. Outside is primarily an asphalt area for car parking but there is small grass verges on the outskirts of the car park and wide paved pathways for access.
