October 2016

This Month I Have Been...

Lions Club Nation at Xscape Castleford 9th October, didn’t have a good first run, but had a great second run & finished 5th in Under 16, they also had a team race which made the day really fun, unfortunately the first member of our team skied out of the course, so we didn’t made the final. I was entered for Northern Schools Race 03/10 & British Ski Cross Champs, but both events were cancelled. I also attended the Mad Dogs Freestyle Ski tour with James “Woody” Woods, really great event got to meet lots of British Freestyle team, and got lots of autographs & posters.

Just Cruising...

I have been doing driving lessons in a Bentley Car at their factory in Crewe, it was an amazing car & a great day. I received a special Blue Peter Badge for introducing friends to sports, brought a friend to Chill Factore to try freestyle skiing, he had an amazing night & he will definitely be coming with me again.

I completed the BASI Level 1 instructor course training on 15th & 16th October with the Sheffield Sharks Ski Club at Xscape, this was a great weekend & really helped me to focus on my own technique, and the reason why the Coaches do the different types of drill/training. I’m hoping to become a Ski Instructor to help fund my way through University, I also really enjoy teaching people how to improving there skiing.
