August 2016

August 2016

My August Has Been A Blast!

I took part in the English slopestyle Championships last month. It was great to meet up with all my friends from all over the UK and I also came first in my category and took the bronze medal in the overall.

How I Keep Fit, I Do A Lot!

I do parkour, acrobatics and skateboarding and swimming regularly. This month I was lucky to be invited to train with the Park and Pipe academy for a week long Pathway camp. As well as snowboard training we do loads of cross training too. This time it was BMXing, Bouldering, skateboarding, Gymnastics and trampolining.

It Runs In The Family

I watch the Olympics regularly with my family. We always watch the swimming because my Granddad is a swimming referee and has a huge interest in the sport. (he refereed the British Qualifiers for the Paralympics so we are really looking forward to seeing how the team gets on) We also like to watch gymnastics, running, Diving, cycling  and the water sports. I

I really enjoy watching Mo Farrah as he is so good and appears to be a really nice guy. I also love Bolt, who doesn’t haha.  I’ve have also watched equestrian this year as I have a friend who is really interested in it. She has horses and trains regularly so it was great seeing what she wants to do.

It's In The Post!

I am looking forward to my new equipment and clothing being delivered from Airblaster, Capita and Union.

Stay Tuned For Next Month...

It’s the Scottish Championships next month which is always a rad event. I have also been invited to another Pathways camp so I am really looking forward to that.

I'm Always Trying to Improve

On snow I train about 3 days a week for about 2-4 hours each session. Off snow I do swimming, Parkour, Acrobatics and Skateboarding as well as fitness training.

Just One Last Thing...

I’ve been away on holiday in Somerset with my family. I frequently  travel abroad for Training and competitions in the winter, so it’s nice to go to the beach and chill out together. As a family we love being at the seaside and I love swimming in the sea. It was my niece's first time in the sea this year so it was fun to share the experience with her.
