Savvy Skiers Save Money on Hitting the Slopes

Learn before you fly!

As the snow falls in the Alps and skiers enjoy the first tracks of this year’s season, North West premier visitor attraction, Chill Factore, has today announced a surge in ski and snowboarding lesson bookings, as British holidaymakers worry about the economy going off piste and seek out cheaper lessons at home.

Chill Factore, which is home to the UK’s longest indoor real snow skiing and snowboarding slope (180 meters), compared the cost of its lessons against the average cost of lessons in Europe’s top ski resorts, and the research has revealed the cost of learning to ski abroad to be almost double than at home*.

Morwenna Angove, CEO at Chill Factore, explains: “We’ve seen a huge surge in lesson bookings already for this season and it seems that the fall in value of the pound following the Brexit vote, has alerted skiers that learning to ski before you fly can save time and money.

“We’re proud to have taught tens of thousands of beginners to ski since Chill Factore opened nine years ago. This season we are offering to get beginners skiing in just six hours and if they’re not slope ready the first time, they will get extra tuition for free!”
